Australian Open Day 3

Among the shocks were Yanina Wickmayer's loss to Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets and Marion Bartoli losing to Vesna Manasieva. Wickmayer needs to build up some consistency in tournaments she seems a bit too sporadic whilst I've never heard of Vesna Manasieva so Bartoli losing to her is a shock. That leaves Wozniacki with a straight road to the QFs as long as she beats Dominica Cibulkova. The 32nd seed Tsvetana Pironkova, 20th seed Kaia Kanepi also lost out as well.

In British news Elena Baltacha crashed out to Justine Henin whilst Keothavong lost in three sets to Andrea Petkovic.

For the Men's draw Djokovic made the third round but had a wobble in the 2nd set, I hope that doesn't affect his next few matches. Whilst Roger Federer took 5 sets to beat Gilles Simon but I don't see any immediate threats until Andy Roddick.

Seeds who fell today on the men's draw include Juan Monaco, Mardy Fish and Albert Montanes.
