Brisbane, Chennai and Doha update

Well after Djokovic was beaten I felt totally at loss with this tournament - to then find out that Djokovic's successor Gulbis lost out in Round 2 was even more of a shock; as it was to Paul-Henri Mathieu! Now everything lies on Kei Nishikori to set things straight! Richard Gasquet vs. Tsonga will hopefully be good considering they are good friends they'll probably know a lot about each others technique and style.
Did you hear - Davydenko is out of the Australian, ok not too big a news in terms of losing a possible semifinalist but knowing that Davydenko looks to be on the end of his career is actually quite pleasing. Besides that the Chennai Open is still in it's round 2 stage so I can't really say that much but with the top 2 seeds gone it looks like the field is much more interesting and diverse for some reason!
At Doha the 2nd round has not finished but the usual lot are currently safe. Nadal breezed past his two opponents losing only 4 games - actually quite sad to know that he is starting off this year so dominant. Gael Monfils will be his next opponent who had a rough match against Nicolas Devilder. Roddick is still in; he will face Clement next and if he wins Victor Hanescu would be his next shot before he gets to the bigger fish like Nadal. Sadly Youzhny lost - not a good start.
Murray is through to the third round with Sergiy Stakhovsky as his next opponent, this should mean a safe entry to the semis to face most likely Federer.
This tournament just seems so uneven as you have 4 main players a few possible threats and then a string of lower ranked players - meaning that it's quite likely that the Top 3 or 4 make it through to the semis.
