Well after my last post amazingly Mauresmo beat Ivanovic. It shows that Ivanovic is still not on track because Mauresmo really did not look on form in her previous matches but she beat Ivanovic quite comprehensively. Sad that she had to retire in the next round allowing Bartoli to reach the finals, I guess she used up too much of her stamina to beat Ivanovic!!!!
On the other side Victoria Azarenka continued to be the unrelenting force driving the bottom half of the draw, it was a deserved title for her.
In Auckland Keothavong sadly lost in the semis, however even if she did advanvce I doubt she will beat Dementieva. Well Dementieva's final opponent was Elena Vesnina who beat Vaidisova and Wozniacki in her big to win the title. But Dementieva was on form, though she barely played any high ranking opponents she beat most of her opponents in easy two set matches.
